Sorry, I haven’t updated in a while, I have been busy with some other things that have totally taken me a way from Tumblr. I apologize for that. Due to some presonal things going on, I have no idea when I will be able to run this blog in the capacity that I once had, but I do not want this special resource for the LGBTQ community of the Carolinas to go to waste. So….

Two beautiful girls at App State were brutally attacked, having their faces practically destroyed from a man kicking and punching them repeatedly, despite their pleas and despite blood going everywhere. Why did he, and his two female friends assault them? Because they LOOKED “GAY”. 

The three assailants first saw the two girls at a Cook Out, started yelling “dykes” and “fags” at them. When the two girls left, the other three followed them to the apartment complex, and that is when they decided to assault them. And they still were yelling slurs such as “dykes” and “fags”.

This is clearly an assault motivated purely by the assailants bias towards people of other sexual orientations, and he could be charged with a hate crime had the attack been motivated by race, gender, religion, or country of origin. North Carolina does not acknowledge hate crimes based off of sexual orientation, leaving these two girls out of the protection of hate crime laws.

Sign this for justice, equality, and most of all, to let it be known in the state that discrimination and hatred towards people of different sexual orientations will NOT be tolerated.
